The most common technology in hair transplant is FUE method that involves harvesting the hair follicles under local anesthesia. This technique creates a basis for all other hair transplant techniques. Basic phases are similar in all hair transplant methods. Hair follicles are collected, canals are opened and follicles are transferred into these canals. Angle should be different at each area of the head, as it is the most important factor to gain natural-looking hair. Harvested follicles are carefully placed into canals in the last stage.
Devices that are used to harvest hair follicles, differences between the tools that are used to open canals and transfer follicles is the reason for hair transplant methods to be named differently.
DHI hair transplant means “Direct Hair Implantation”. This method is performed by directly implanting the hair follicles, which are harvested with a medical pen called choi, to the skin without a prior incision or need to open canals. In other words, the pen opens canals and transfers hair follicles concomitantly. Moreover, harvested follicles spend less time outside the body in this method and therefore, their chance of survival is higher.
In this method, hair follicles are extracted using micromotor with FUE technique and special sapphire tips are used instead of metal slit to open canals. Thanks to these tips, smaller micro canals can be opened and thus, recovery period is shortened.
Hair Transplantation With No Pain Or Ache Is Possible In Kolan Hair!!
Anesthesia is administered with “pressure injections” during hair transplant. Patients feel no pain in the procedure. In hair transplant surgeries, the most painful and fearful part is generally the injection done to induce local anesthesia. At our center, administration of local anesthesia is pain-free to maximize the patient satisfaction. For this procedure, specialized high-pressure devices are used.
